WA land rover

Our Land Rover specialists weigh in on the best tracks in WA

Although WA’s border isn’t opened to most of us due to COVID, we had to include it. WA has some pretty epic tracks to get you excited and planning for the next adventure.

We were stuck on WA as there is so many to choose from so we have included 2 tracks we think you Land Rover four wheel drivers will love!

Gibb River Road:

We know this is well known and loved and that’s for good reason. The Gibb actually started out for drovers moving cows from Wyndham to Derby and stretches over 660km. It is a multi- day drive with plenty of scenery and gorges to stop at. As you move along the track be sure to follow the trail signs as there are still private working farms and aboriginal communities that call the Gibb their home.

There are water crossings (who doesn’t love a good splash?), rocky and dirt roads, with a lot of it depending on recent weather. With the some of the walking trails and waterfalls so good, you’d want at least 14 days to complete this track (and good, well prepared camping gear!)

Mundaring Powerlines:

This has a bit of everything for the true Land Rover explorers. It is the one of the most popular among the four-wheel drivers of Perth, but puts even the most experienced drivers on high alert.

It takes between 3 to 5 hours to complete and is full of sand, mud, dirt, gravels, dust and hills. This is perfect for all experienced drivers in the dry weather but we would only recommenced it to the experienced drivers in the wet. Through all weather stick with another 4×4 so you can help each other out in any situation.

As with all epic adventures, make sure your car in up to date with servicing and ready to tackle what your going to throw at it. Call us today and book your car in before you take off on your next adventure!
