Land Rover in the Northern Territory

This week our Land Rover specialists are super pumped to bring to you the 2 best four wheel drive tracks in the Northern Territory.

Whats epic about these tracks is they are so different to our ones around home (Sydney). From the harsh desert landscape to the pristine waterfalls – the NT is one that your Land Rover would love to explore and get pushed to its limits.

First off the bat is Palm Valley:

Located in the Finke Gorge National Park, the Palm Valley track is a MUST. Its landscape is full of diverse fauna, many of which are unique to the area – including the red cabbage palm, of which are very sensitive to visitors so please bare that in mind when visiting.
The locale inspired well known water colorists Albert Namaytijara to create his world famous art work, and if that’s not enough to persuade you into visiting this magical place then the fact that the park also contains the Finke River – thought to be the oldest river in the world then i don’t know what will!

Also of note is that the campground there is only $6.60 per person! and no booking needed. So pack the family into the Land Rover and set off on your next epic adventure.

Next is Red Bank Gorge

Located on an unsealed road located in the West MacDonnell Ranges. The fact that it is only 156km from Alice Springs makes it the perfect day trip.
The landscape on the drive is beautiful and full of endangered fauna and animals. Your Land Rover must have high clearance to complete this track and it only about 5km.
From the car park take the 1.5km trip down to the Gorge and get wet. There are camp ground located at Woodtop and Ridgetop but be sure to book and take all the supplies you need

With many more epic four wheel trips in the NT why not make it a full holiday and give your Land Rover a work out.
Just be sure to book a service in with our Land Rover Specialists to ensure the car is ready for the landscape NT provides
