The 276DT engine is a V6 diesel engine produced by Ford as part of the Duratorq engine family.
It has a compacted graphite iron block for lower weight and high-strength aluminum cylinder heads with four valves per cylinder. This engine is designed for use in Land Rovers, with features such as an engine-operated cooling fan and a turbocharger for desert applications. It has an air-to-air intercooler for aspiration.
The engine can be reprogrammed for increased power and torque, with gains starting around 2,500 rpm and a maximum power output of 36 bhp at 3,802 rpm and maximum torque boost of 71 Nm at 3,427 rpm.
